Starter, Motive, and Stand by solutions
What began in 1959 as a specialist in Starter batteries has evolved into a regional energy leader with a diverse range of products and innovations. Over the decades, EIC has expanded beyond Starter into industrial motive power, electrical equipment, utilities, UPS systems, renewable energy, and electric vehicle batteries, responding to the growing demand for smarter and greener power solutions.

EIC established the country’s first and largest battery manufacturing site in line with Egypt’s industrial strategy. The factory was inaugurated by President Gamal Abdel Nasser.
During the October War, EIC dedicated its entire production to the Egyptian Armed Forces, supplying all required batteries and proudly contributing to the national effort.
EIC expanded into motive power solutions and produced its first battery using flat-plate technology, setting new standards in industrial energy systems.
As global interest in renewable energy grew, EIC’s third generation introduced advanced and modern battery technologies to the Egyptian market, becoming an early driver of innovation and sustainable energy solutions.
EIC led a major shift from non-renewable energy to advanced battery-powered systems. Customers discovered that industrial batteries are maintainable—not disposable—strengthening EIC’s position as a leader in the national energy transition.
After achieving market leadership in Egypt, EIC expanded into the UAE and Portugal, positioning itself to serve the growing energy needs of the Middle East, Africa, and Europe.
EIC began building its first lithium battery manufacturing facility, marking a new chapter in advanced energy storage and future-ready technologies.
